Mike Weiss has been with Lopata Flegel & Co. since the firm’s inception in 1990, after beginning his career in public accounting with Lopata’s national predecessor firm in 1982. An experienced and valued firm leader, Mike takes a highly consultative approach to client service, ensuring he and firm members thoroughly understand and work toward each client’s specific objectives. Mike’s focus is on serving owner-managed, growth-oriented and emerging early-stage businesses in the construction, service, distribution, retail, not-for-profit, and various high-tech industry sectors. While Mike has a broad range of experience in public accounting, his client-service responsibilities are primarily in the accounting, auditing, financial reporting and business planning areas. In addition, Mike leads Lopata Flegel’s internal technology team and is active in growing the firm’s Business Services group.
