The History of Lopata, Flegel & Company LLP

While Lopata, Flegel & Company was officially formed on August 1, 1990, our history goes much deeper. We have proudly served as accountants and tax professionals for St. Louis businesses since the 1930s.

In 1990, our partners returned the firm to its local roots by acquiring the accounting, audit and tax practice of the St. Louis office of an international public accounting firm that had merged with our founding firm in 1969. Soon afterwards, we acquired the Lopata Partnership, a local accounting practice in Clayton, Missouri.

Since 1997, our firm’s name has been Lopata, Flegel & Company LLP.
